    15 STAFF OF ABU SACKED OVER SEXUAL ABUSE

    15 staff of ABU  Ahmadu Bello University , Zaria were; on Thursday August 26 sacked by; the management of the institution over; offences which centered on sexual harassment, negligence of duty and corruption.

    The sacked ABU staff are; reportedly from different departments and faculties in the institution and they were handed their dismissal lettter afte;r its approval by the university’s Governing Council during; two separate meetings.

    Director of ABU’s Public Affairs, Dr Sama’ila Shehu who confirmed the incident said; not all the affected staff are lecturers.

    “Not all of them are lecturers but they are ABU staff members. A total of 15 staff of ABU were; affected. The offences range from mishandling of records, scripts to sexual harassment and assault” he said.
