The Pro-Chancellor and chairman Government council , the University of Lagos Dr. Wale Babalakin [SAN]., says it will take the intervention of the intelligentsia to change the fortune of the nation.
Babalakin, who said this during the UNILAG 49th convocation ceremony, urged the graduating students not to shy away from public affairs but to be; involved and contribute their quota to nation buildings.
A statement on Sunday quoted him as; urging the graduates to aspire beyond making a living , while declaring that they; intelligentsia in the country had become endangered species.
The Nigerian intelligentsia has largely lost out in the battle for Nigeria.
Today I’m making a clarion call to you all that is not sufficient to earn a living.
It is more important to participate in the deAFor having the courage to pursue a subsequent degree,yo have already shown clearly that you intend to be part of the intelligentsia, but it shouldn’t end there.
