A screen shot of an award letter to the best graduating student department of Crop Production; Ekiti State University has emerged online.
According to the letter; the best graduating student in Crop Production Faculty of Agricultural Sciences simply identified as UWAGWU has been; awarded the Prof. M.A Faluyi’s Prize Award of Two Thousand Naira (N2000).
This has attracted reactions from Nigerians. Many see the prize money as a mockery to education and does not in any way motivate students to be the best they can be in their academics.
