The federal government released N2 billion for agricultural developments through; tertiary Education Trust Board to support development projects; at Federal University Of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State.


Dr. Bichi Baffa The TETFUND Executive Secretary who confirmed this said the university will boost the government economic to agricultural development.

FUNAAB had been lacking behind because of its inability to access more than N2 billion allocated to it since 2013.

He blamed the ability of the university to get funding on the prolonged bickering and internal crisis which, he said,the management was; currently doing everything to avoid.


he said, N2 billion worth of allocation to the university of agriculture is; the fund waiting for the university to come and access.

The Vice – Chancellor of the university promised after an extensive discussion on how to overcome the problem of non-withdrawal and even agreed on the timeline.

The Vice- Chancellor,Prof. kolawole salako, said the institution would look into the area of the students dignity, which included the provision of good and functional lavatories.

The VC, Chancellor, said he has showing commitment to the disburse.

The University will start new projects and bigger projects.

SALAKO said, students going to hostels during lectures making use of the toilet is not right.

TETFUND  has given us N120m to provide facilities. I want to provide assure the fund that no money given to us will be; misused, because of governing council.
