Congressperson Orji Uzor Kalu has formally come back to the Senate after his discharge from jail. The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, on Tuesday, authoritatively invited Kalu, who is the Chief Whip of the Senate.

His conviction and condemning to 12 years in prison came 12 years after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) documented N7.65 billion misrepresentation charge against him.
The EFCC had documented the charge in 2007. Be that as it may, the Supreme Court, managing on an intrigue recorded by his co-litigant, suppressed the preliminary on the grounds of absence of ward.
The Supreme Court’s judgment followed an intrigue battling that the preliminary appointed authority, Justice Mohammed Idris, finished up the 12-year-old preliminary and gave judgment after he had been raised to the Court of Appeal and stopped to be an adjudicator of the Federal High Court. Despite the Supreme Court rulling over Kalu’s preliminary close by Ude Jones Udeogu and his organization, Slok Nigeria Ltd, he was not allowed to profit by the judgment since he was not the candidate.
