    So, first, for the Newbies or Novices to Canada visa application process, you should understand that Canada visa applications do not necessarily take time if you meet all the requirements, have the correct certified documents, and an Immigration expert to guide you.     There are two ways you can apply for a visa to Canada. The first is Applying in person that is on paper, and this method will require you to visit a visa application center in your country.

    Another way to apply for a Canadian visa is via the online platform, and to do this you will require a Scanner or Camera to enable you to make softcopies of your documents. And then you will need an active credit card to make payments online.

    How do you apply for a Canadian temporary resident visa Online?

    The first step to apply is to ensure you have all your documents and application material ready. You should also ensure you meet all the requirements to apply for a visa to Canada.

    If you meet all the requirements, then you should create an account online on the Canada official website. There are two ways you can do this;

    1. Using your online banking login;
    2. Using a GCkey (Government of Canada login, that you created); you can find out more on the website.

    Gather Your Documents and Start Applying

    After you have created an account, you will receive a reference number which will be required at some point in your application process. The full document list required to apply for a Canadian visa are:

    • Your passport.
    • Appropriate Canada visa application form.
    • Proof of paid Canada visa fees.
    • Photographs in accordance with the photo requirements for Canada visa.
    • Proof of financial means.
    • Proof you will return to your home country once the Canadian visa expires.
    • Identity and Civil Status Documents.
    • Police clearances.
    • Medical exam.
    • A cover letter that explains the purpose of your travel to Canada.
    • Letter of support/invitation to Canada.

    The next step, after submitting all your documents, and meeting all the requirements, is to pay the fee for your application. Depending on the type of visa you applied for, in our case a temporary visa, you’d have to pay CAD$100 for one person. And a Biometric fee of CAD$85 for one person.

    Your visa application will then be processed for two and sometimes three weeks by the Canadian embassy. You have to submit extra documents, your biometrics, and then be interviewed at the embassy.

    If you eventually perform all these functions, and tasks and you are successful, you will be in Canada in no time. Bear in mind that when you travel your documents, and passport may be requested by the border officials, be sure to go with them.
