The Islamic country also solicited the help of Interpol in catching the United States president and dozens of others. Iran accused them of killing a top general in Baghdad.
A police spokesman confirmed to journalists in the city that staff had evacuated the 3rd precinct station – which covers the area of Minneapolis where Floyd was detained. Police had since abandoned 5 precincts in the city as the protesters became more violent.
Protests have spread to other US cities, with demonstrators in New York defying coronavirus rules against public gatherings as they clashed with police, while some blocked traffic. Demonstrations had also been seen on the streets of Los Angeles and Memphis.
