Joseph Ayo Babalola University produces 23 first class students in ikeji arakeji, Osun State have graduated with first class. The vice chancellor of the university Prof . Sola Rajana, stated this on Monday while speaking with journalism on the forthcoming convocation ceremony.
The also disclosed that the total of 566 students would be; graduating at the upcoming convocation ceremony coming up on Monday 22nd January 2018.
He said the number comprised 544 first degrees and 23 higher degrees. Giving the breakdown, the VC said a total of 23 students bagged first class, 222 have Second class honour (lower division) while 55 students finished with third class.
At the post graduate level it will be award masters degree while post graduate diploma will be; awarded to five students. Rajana, who noted that all academic programmes of the university had been accredited by the national universities commission, said the university was able to provide grants for its academic staff for the purpose of research.
Stressing that institution was making a tremendous progress in the area of research and entrepreneural programmes, Rajana add, the university have continued to advance in all frontiers of lead Ming mode of study and also to as usuage the learning youths out there, the university’s centre for distance learning is; awaiting the nod to commence ODL Programmes .
Rajana also stated that on the convocation day, a honorary degree would be; conferred on the visitor to the university and Presidency president of the Christ Apostolic church pastor Abraham Akinosum.
