Who we need
We are looking for a Case Manager to join our growing team. You will be accountable to provide high level support for a portfolio of Provincial Plan Replacement and Long-Term Care insurance policies. The candidate will be assisting foreign students should they need to navigate through the Canadian Health care system.

What you will do:
- Prioritize timely, empathetic, and accurate client experiences. You will respond in a timely manner to a wide variety of claims inquiries. You will determine eligibility of health services based upon member health condition. You will also communicate with various members of the treating healthcare team/member, and oversee hospital admissions.
- Assess claims & determine eligibility. You will provide support to the in-house claims team for complex issues, act as a liaison between Third Party Administrators and Securian Canada, and assist with enrollment and eligibility issues.
- Manage projects & insure repatriation services. You will be in charge of repatriation services to students who die in Canada, also provide feedback to management as appropriate on visible claim or health care trends. You will participate as a Subject Matter Expert on projects.
- Quality assurance. You will meet and exceed our client service standards and adhere to our best practice guidelines. You will contribute to a rewarding work environment by identifying opportunities to improve processes and client service delivery.
What you will bring:
- The experience. You have a minimum of 2 years Insurance experience handling Health and Dental Claims with a preference given to a previous work in the medical field.
- The interpersonal skills. You have an exceptional client management and service skills with the ability to build trusting relationships, influence decisions, and professionally manage stressful situations. You are an active listener with a capacity for empathy, and can deliver difficult news in a tactful and sensitive manner. You have excellent oral and written communication skills with the confidence to pose questions and present findings.
- The drive. You have strong organizational skills and can manage multiple cases concurrently, following up on files, reading reports, and tracking information. You are highly collaborative, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves to uncover information and manage priorities based on changing internal and external requirements.
