About the Position:
- The Processing Operators, Concentration Operators and Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Processing Lead.
- Actively promote adherence to and hold site employees accountable for leading safety and regulatory compliance with all local, provincial and federal rules and regulations. HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR UNSAFE ACTS!;
- Assign duties and monitor performance of Processing Operators to ensure work is completed according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s);
- Ensure that processing equipment is performing at a high level that meets Inlands fluid processing objectives.
- Assist in the training of all operators of in the proper operational procedures and inform the facility supervisor immediately of any deficiencies in operation, daily inspections and daily paperwork submitted by all operators;
- Ensure all operators’ paperwork is completed and filed promptly and accurately;
- Ensure full communication with next shift regarding current state of processing equipment;
- Ensure all reporting; record keeping and communications are complete, accurate and timely as per company policies;
- Work co-operatively with all other staff involved in the completion of assigned duties;
- Professionally operate, maintain and instruct operators on using all Processing Equipment;
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all processing equipment;
- Ensure that adequate spare parts are available so processing doesn’t experience any downtime due to failed mechanical equipment
- Schedule, perform, and instruct operators with light maintenance tasks on Processing Equipment and to immediately report any major repair requirements;
- Direct the flow of scheduled maintenance tasks;
- Empty the collection pit into Inlands storage vessels well before the risk of overfill. The volume and concentration must always be recorded for every load. The collection pit must be emptied of solids on a regular basis;
- Oversee the daily tracking and recording of fluids transferred and processed;
- Assist with the glycol recycling processes, including concentrator and sanitary machine operations;
- Assign duties to Process Operators when processing operations are slow (i.e., vehicle maintenance, vehicle washing, office cleaning, etc.);
- Assist in the production of Inland ADF and Flight Bloo as required;
- Represent the Company in a courteous and professional manner;
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- 4+ years of fluid processing experience;
- Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a similar industry;
- Ability to work independently and show good judgement;
- Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of processing/mechanical systems (motors, pumps, heat exchangers, measurement instrumentation, etc);
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel);
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally;
- Must have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for work;
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus;
- May be required to move, connect, disconnect hoses and be able to operate industrial valves and perform general labor duties
Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Company insurance standards;
- Class 5 Power Engineer;
- Class 3 Driver’s License considered an asset;
- Forklift certification considered an asset;
