Upwards of five understudies of the University of Calabar have been; caught 5 unical student and strutted by the Nigerian police.
The Guardian reports that the Cross River police order has marched five understudies of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) for supposed inclusion in cultism.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Irene Ugbo, uncovered this to newsmen yesterday in Calabar, including that the understudies were individuals from; various clique gatherings.
She said they were; captured in the early long stretches of yesterday when the police followed up on data of somebody who said he was; undermined by some pack to join a faction gathering. Ugbo said; the counter capturing and cultism squad took care of business, got the young men captured and recouped two privately made guns from them.
“They 5 unical student really admitted to being; understudies of the University of Calabar and are cultists, in spite of the fact that, examinations are; still on, quickly we are; through with it, we would charge them to court.
One of them said he is an individual from the Eye Confraternity, the other said; he is an individual from Bukaneers, those are the two faction bunches we got from them.
“We have captured a portion of these young men previously, our main responsibility is to capture and in the wake of completing our examinations, we charge them to court, we wouldn’t know the explanation they were; released by the court.
To the extent we are; concerned, anybody that is captured again subsequent to being released by; the court for faction related exercises would be; explored and charged once more”, she said.
