This is; a message for all those Universities and institutions of higher learning in Nigeria who are; in the habit of jerking up the tuition fees at the turn of every academic session.
Here in Germany, public universities and their associated allies do not charge tuition fees. Students go to school for free if studying in public schools, unlike in my country, where; you pay through your noses for tuition fees.
And guess what, the free tuition has not in any way compromised or reduced the quality of education is; these higher institutions as their graduates come up with; top honours quickly get employed in; blue-chip and top multi-national institution.
The German standard is; very high, by far the highest in Europe and parents do not have to worry about how; to pay school fees if their children pass the grades to get; admitted into these public institutions.
Which makes me to remember how difficult and tasking it is; for Nigerian parents to send their children to state and federal government institutions of higher learning, where; the tuition fees, accommodation cost and the associated costs run into hundreds of thousands, leaving them; to run from pillar to post to raise these funds, only to get more dejected; when the children graduate and are; left to wander in the labour market without jobs for years on end.
