Lilian Salami, a teacher, has been named the UNIBEN announces new VC tenth substantive bad habit chancellor of the University of Benin, Edo State. She would be the subsequent lady to be the foundation’s VC after Professor Grace Alele Williams in 1985.
Teacher Salami whose arrangement would produce results from December second, 2019, would take over from Professor Faraday Orumwense.
An announcement by the college’s representative, Mr. Micheal Osasuyi, said Prof. Salami was; delegated tenth substantive VC of UNIBEN at the 157th normal gathering of the establishment Governing Council.

As indicated by an announcement on the Twitter page of UNIBEN, Mrs Salami (Nee Emovon) is a Professor of Home Economics/Nutritional Education. She is from Benin in Edo State. She was; conceived in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria on August 8, 1956.
Her initial tutoring began in Jos yet was truncated by; the Nigerian Civil War. Her essential and auxiliary training were; then finished in Edo State.
She got her West African School Certificate (O’ levels) from Baptist High School, Benin City.
In 1975, she headed out to the United States of America, University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point Campus and had her mid year tutoring at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul.
She later moved to North Dakota State University, Fargo after; she got hitched in 1977. There she got her Bachelor of Science certificate in 1979 in Home Economics and Master’s qualification in Nutrition in 1982.
She returned back to Nigeria in 1983 and selected to serve in the National Youth Service Corps in Benin City.
Endless supply of the national help, she made a short beginning of her showing vocation with the then University of Ife, presently Obafemi Awolowo, Nigeria. Somewhere in the range of 1985 and 1994, she addressed Nutrition at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria
This was; contributed when she picked up entrance into University of Nigeria, Nsukka for a doctoral certificate in Human Nutrition in 1989 which she acquired in 1991. In 1994, she was; selected a Senior Lecturer with the University of Benin, Benin City.
As a manager, she has held various managerial situations in the University of Benin and is right now the Director-General/Chief Executive of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA, Ondo).
