As University workers begin their nationwide strike today, the Uniuyo postponed post utme 2019 screening exercise for; Post-UTME and Direct Entry candidates of the University of Uyo, has been; postponed indefinitely.
The admission Uniuyo postponed post utme screening exercise which was; billed to commence today at various screening venues in the University, will no longer hold as scheduled.
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) had on Friday announced their intention to embark on a one-week warning strike nationwide from; August 19th to 23rd, 2019.
In a letter signed by; SSANU President and Chairman of the Joint Action Committee, Samson Ugwoke, and General Secretary, Peters Adeyemi, the unions revealed that the strike was; occasioned by the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill their demands after the expiration of a 14-day ultimatum.
New dates for the admission screening exercise will be; announced in due course.
