UNIVERSITY OF UYO INDUCT NEW MEMBERS TO SENIOR STAFF CLUB

The university of uyo senior staff club was angog on wednesday, as members trooped out to celebrate the valentines season with the family and friends.

The event was attended by many high profile dignitaries from wethin and outside the university community, led by the vice chancellor, who was represented by the Dupty Vice Chancellor [Adminstration] Prof. God frey Udo.

The high point of the event camer with induction of 45 new members into the club undertaken by the clubs legal adviser,DR. [barr.] Nsikak Senam. The inductees were drawn from the senior cadre of both academic and non- academic staff of the university.

Speaking at the event., president of the Senior Staff Club, ARC Emmanuel Okon, thanked the vice chancellor for his immeasurable support to the club, adding that the club will attain even greater heights under his watch.

The club secretary Musa Tijani who was descibed as the engine room of the club, stated that the club had been revived, while revealing that other plans were in top gear to keep the club vibrant and up to date with the required standards.

One of the newly- inducted members, Dr [BARR] Etefia Ekanem expressed his joy at thee success of the event.

Also in attendance were former Dupty Vice Chancellors, dean of faculties, dean of students, former commissioners, an assistant corps Marshall of FRSC and some privileged students
