Some UTME up-and-comers have gotten; out UTME candidates exposed by; laborers who purportedly blackmailed them in Nasarawa state.
As indicated by Punch Metro, scores of competitors looking for entrance into different Nigerian organizations of higher learning through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Nasarawa State have; blamed specialists for the National Identity Management Commission of coercion.
A Punch Metro reporter, who visited the Lafia office of the NIMC, saw; that many imminent applicants were remaining in long lines attempting to be enlisted so as; to get their National Identity Numbers.
The NIN is currently a prerequisite for all Nigerians wishing to sit the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s composed assessments into tertiary foundations.
One of the applicants, Mr Sunday Michael, UTME candidates exposed who addressed Punch Metro in a meeting, said; he had been; in the line for more than three hours.
He asserted that there were; sharp works on going on in light of the fact that he and his companions were; being approached to pay N1,000 before they could be enlisted.
Michael expressed, “I went to the NIMCs office around 7.30 am and I have gone through a few hours here and I have not been; enlisted. Those, who met me here, have controlled their direction and have since been caught.
“Some of staff individuals from the NIMC called me aside and disclosed to me that in the event that I had N1,000 I should give them and I would be; caught.”
