The West African Examinations council [WAEC] has reopened registration for the second series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination [WASSCE] for private candidates in 2018.
The Head of Public affairs at the WAEC National Headquaters, Demianus Ojijeoju disclosed examining body would be; making registration open between Monday, 14th May and Friday, 6th July, 2018.
He said that the registration procedure has been designed to accommodate bio-metric features that will be; used for validation at the examination center.
After obtaining the registration pin, private candidates should logon to www.waeconline.org, he said.
The council also said there is provision for walk-in candidates with special needs.
Walk-in candidates, who wish to write the examination after the close of entries may be; accommodated provided they register less than 24 hours to the scheduled time of the paper they intend to write. The walk-in candidates fee is; 25000only.
Also the special needs candidates have the opportunity to register online but they must state clearly their disabilities,blind, low vision, spastic, speech etc.
The council said candidates are; expected to pay a registration fee of N13,950 and a commission of N500 to banks and accredited agents.
WAEC directed candidates to ensure that they complete their registration within two weeks of first access to website
Candidates must conclude registration within two weeks of first access to the website during the registration period.
The should ensure that names,gender,passport,photographs,dates of birth and subjects are correct.
They are also to print the admission Notice/photo card as evidence of successful registration which will serve as identification during the examination.
The result checker PIN will also be on the photo card , WAEC SPOKESPERSON ADDED.
